…Urges Political Office Holders From Ibarapa to Emulate Sanusi
In a heartwarming gesture, the Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has provided free 18-seater buses for SUBEB applicants from the Ibarapa geopolitical zone who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) at the University of Ibadan DCL, CBT Centre, Ajibode, Ibadan on Monday, July 22nd, 2024.
Ibarapa-born writer, columnist, and editor, Prince Tayo Akinyemi, used the occasion to laud Chief Sanusi’s humanitarian act, stating that the free bus initiative “really assisted these applicants morally and psychologically, as reflected in the enthusiasm on the lucky candidates’ mood on their arrival.”
Akinyemi, who has known Chief Sanusi for his longstanding efforts in human capital development across Ibadan and Oyo State, believes the gesture is not an accident.
He said, “Chief Sanusi’s gesture for SUBEB candidates across the state has gingered politicians and philanthropists in other zones apart from Ibarapa to follow suit.
“I have read about similar sponsorship in Ibadan, Oyo, and Oke-Ogun, and I hope our House of Representatives and Assembly members from Ibarapa will look into this before the end of the exercise.”
Furthermore, Akinyemi revealed that Chief Sanusi has extended the free bus service for SUBEB applicants on Wednesday, July 24th, and Friday, July 26th, for which the people of Ibarapa are deeply grateful.
The writer’s praise for Chief Sanusi’s altruistic act underscores the positive impact it has had on the lives of the SUBEB applicants from the Ibarapa region, who now have a better chance of success in the examination thanks to the transportation support provided.
