Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to secondary school teachers and principals in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Local Government Areas of Oyo State for their efforts in the just concluded Ibarapakan free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) tutorial in the federal constituency.
The free UTME tutorial, which spanned two months, started on February 12, 2024, in Igboora, Idere, Ayete, Tapa and Igangan, the five principal towns comprising the Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency.
Appreciating the teachers on Monday, April 15, 2024, Ibarapakan said that their expertise and experience have greatly enriched the learning experience of the 2024 UTME candidates in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North.
“We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for your valuable contributions in the just concluded free UTME tutorial for prospective jambites in our beloved federal constituency, Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North.
“As a government, we salute your painstaking yet laudable contribution to our various educational intervention programmes in the two local government areas, and this is us saying we couldn’t have done it better without you.
“We strongly believe that your expertise and experience have greatly enriched the learning experience of our prospective jambites.
“With your ideas, contribution and strong passion for the younger generations to learn from your wealth of knowledge, we believe that a sane, better and more prosperous federal constituency is possible in our lifetime,” Ibarapakan said.
The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character and Chairman, Nigeria-Romania Friendship Group, also expressed his deep gratitude to the tutors, whom he described as selfless community developers, for sharing their knowledge and passion and for being resourceful partners in the journey towards a brighter future for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency.
Hon. Adepoju said there is no investment in education that is too much, adding that the theoretical and practical components of the two-month tutorial would go a long way in assisting prospective jambites in the federal Constituency to come out with flying colours in the forthcoming 2024 UTME.
The lawmakers also expressed that the tutorial was timely. He noted that the early exposure of students to how to use computers is essential to learning in the present-day world.
He, however, appreciated the tutors for their patience in putting the students through in the most experienced manner, saying no amount of words is enough to appreciate their time, efforts and commitment.
