Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated Barrister Etomilade Oduola on his call to bar in Canada.
The call-to-bar ceremony was held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, where the lawmaker joined the programme live among other residents of Ibarapa Land and beyond.
Etomilade is the President of Ibarapa Development Forum (IDF).
The IDF, otherwise known as the Better Ibarapa Initiative, is a non-governmental political association aimed at fostering unity and development in the Ibarapa region, despite its diversity.
The honourable lawmaker, while sharing a series of good news with dignitaries who attended his reception for the first-class graduates in his constituency on Friday, December 22, 2023, recognised Etomilade and said, “One of us just made us proud,” asking those who were at the reception to pray for more of such a feat in Ibarapa Land.
“Yesterday, one of our resourceful brothers, Barr. Etomilade, was called to bar in Canada. I was part of the call-to-bar ceremony from the beginning to the end.
“Etomilade has made Nigeria proud; regardless of the side you sit on the project “Nigeria,” one must take pride in the way the moderator of the ceremony was eulogising our brother while she kept mentioning the name Nigeria on such an important platform.
“We appreciate what Etomilade stands for, home and abroad, and we are happy that a lot of our younger generations will derive motivation from his numerous accomplishments, especially in the Law Society, nationally and internationally.
While celebrating Etomilade, Ibarapakan said there is no need to remind the new dual-qualified lawyer to mentor his younger brothers and sisters at home, noting that the Ibarapa-born lawyer cum community developer is a man who lives abroad as if he is in Ibarapa. “That is how close he is to the younger generations,” he remarked.
