Ibarapakan Felicitates with Muslims on Maulud Celebration

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated Muslim faithful as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In his remarks on Monday, September 16, 2024, Hon. Adepoju urged Muslims in his federal constituency and Nigeria at large to use the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud to seek divine intervention for Nigeria. He noted that the country is at a critical stage where such prayers are needed to solve the myriad of problems confronting the nation.

The lawmaker reiterated his belief in the power of seeking divine intervention during difficult times. He encouraged Muslims to pray for Nigeria’s leadership, peace, prosperity and to seek Allah’s guidance and blessings for the country.

Ibarapakan expressed his delight in joining Muslims to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose teachings and principles, he said, continue to shape humanity. He stressed that Eid-el-Maulud is yet another opportunity to further reflect on Prophet Muhammad’s teachings and renew a strong commitment to living by His principles of kindness, compassion and faith.

Hon. Adepoju also lauded the immense contributions of Muslims to national growth, appreciating their peaceful coexistence with people of other faiths. “The importance of religious tolerance in our efforts to build a prosperous country where peace, unity and stability reign cannot be overemphasised, and it is good to know that people of different religious faiths in Nigeria are guided by these principles,” he said.

The federal lawmaker also promised to continue working towards the betterment of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, seeking the support, collaboration and prayers of his constituents to achieve this goal.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character, however, wished all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Maulud celebration, praying that Allah’s blessings and mercy be upon them and Nigeria as a whole.
