In a swift response to the need of the people of Pako Community, member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has approved the complete renovation of the Chief Magistrate Court at Pako, Igboora, Ibarapa Central Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Inspecting the dilapidated court building in Igboora on Saturday, August 17, 2024, with elders and key stakeholders in Pako Community, Hon. Adepoju said that the renovation of the court would commence in the next two weeks, saying he would continue to listen and act towards the needs of each community in the constituency.
Mr. Opeoluwa Gbeminiyi, in charge of the building security, appreciated Hon. Adepoju for granting the request of the Pako Community. He said the poor state of the building made every activity of the court to be transferred to the Igboora High Court of Justice, which he said the Oyo State Management Judiciary frowned at.
Mr. Gbeminiyi said the community had made efforts to contribute money to renovate the facility, saying Hon. Adepoju’s promise to make the court wear a new outlook made the community people not to go ahead with the donation. He disclosed that the renovation, when completed, will allow smooth dispensation of justice in the community and its environs. “The court building is no longer being used, but this renovation will bring life to it and our joy knows no limit with what Hon. Adepoju is about to do.” He remarked
Prince Akintayo Akinyemi, in his own appreciative words to Hon. Adepoju, thanked the lawmaker for yielding to the call of the community. According to him, his late father initiated the Magistrate Court, which he described as one of the great legacies of Pako Community. “We are grateful for this gesture by Hon. Adepoju; each time I see what the court building has become, I feel sad and its renovation is what every member of Pako Community is happy about,” he said.
Appreciating the good people of Pako for their support, Ibarapakan promised that the court building will not only be renovated but also equipped with the necessary materials to make it function well for the benefit of the community and the constituency at large.
