The Jericho Businessmen Club (JBC) proudly announces its first Annual Socio-Economic
Summit, focusing on the pivotal theme, “Agricultural Transformation in Oyo State through Value Chain Integration for Sustainable Development.”
The summit will take place on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at the Ibadan Civic Centre,
Agodi, Ibadan. Time is 9am.
Purpose of the Summit:
The summit’s theme underscores the critical role of agriculture not
only in ensuring nutrition and food security but also as a cornerstone for industrialization and economic development.
The summit aims to generate strategies and actionable ideas for driving agricultural transformation through value chain integration, with a view to making Oyo State the leading agro-industrial hub in the nation.
Keynote Speakers: The summit is honoured to host three distinguished keynote speakers:
1. Mrs. Yemisi Iranloye – Founder/Managing Director, Psaltry International Limited,
Iseyin, Oyo State. Psaltry International Limited is Africa’s first producer of Sorbitol
from cassava.
2. Prof. Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka – Special Adviser to the President of the African
Development Bank (AfDB) on Industrialization.
3. Dr. Debo Akande – Executive Adviser to the Governor of Oyo State on Agribusiness,
International Cooperation and Development.
Panellists: Esteemed panellists who will contributing their insights and perspectives include:
