JUST IN: Ibadan Circular Road Will Be Commissioned Mid. 2025 – Makinde

 

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has stated that the first phase of the Ibadan circular road would be commissioned within the next 6-8 months.

The governor gave the assurance while hosting the Air Officer Commanding, Logistics Command, Nigerian Air Force, Ikeja – Lagos, Air Vice Marshal Kolade Ademuwagun who paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Monday.

Makinde acknowledged the fact that the Nigerian Air force has been a pillar of support in keeping the state safe and secure since his administration came on board, adding that with the construction of the circular road, the state is highly looking forward to a functional Air Force base in Ajia town in Ona Ara Local Government of the State.

While appreciating the contribution of Air Force personnel in the committee working on the elevation of Ibadan Airport to International Standard, Governor Seyi Makinde who also congratulated Air Vice Marshal Ademuwagun on his new post, noted that the Nigerian Air force is facing various challenges. He however urged them to request for more support when needed.

Earlier in his remarks, Air Vice Marshal Kolade Ademuwagun, lauded various developmental projects embarked upon across all sectors by the Seyi Makinde led administration, noting that Oyo State is now a state of Significant change under governor Seyi Makinde.

In attendance were the Secretary to the state government, Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, head of Service Mrs Olubunmi Oni, the state Commissioner for finance, Akinola Ojo, the senior executive assistant to governor Makinde on Special duties, Chief Bayo-Lawal, and Some State Security advisers.
