The Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan South-West Local Government, Hon Kehinde Adeyemi Akande on Monday revealed details of what transpired at the office of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Related Commission (ICPC) when the four caretaker chairmen from Ibadan main city were invited to state their positions on the tractors purchased by the administration and Late Abiola Ajimobi.
According to GOALPOACHER NEWS, while reacting to the allegation being circulated on some conventional and online media, Hon Akande who issued a statement through his media team says:
“It’s not in my character to wrestle in the mud with pigs, but it’s pertinent to let my good people of Ibadan South West know that, there’s no iota of truth in the rumors circulating around concerning our recent visit to the ICPC office in Abuja.”
“We all know it’s the handiwork of our ditractors, enabled by some people in our midst but in order to set the record straight.
We were invited to give account on the purchase price and whereabouts of the tractors purchased for all the 33 Local Government Areas by the previous Ajimobi administration,and since we are not a party to the purchase or the prices paid for the purchases and proof to this effect were tendered.”
“The ICPC was convinced by the proof we submitted,We were released immediately.”
