Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has highlighted the various opportunities his administration has created to make life better for residents of Oyo State.
The governor, while speaking at the Induction and Training Programme for the 5000 newly recruited teachers and 700 Converted Staff from Non-teaching to Teaching Cadre, said education is one of the pillars of his administration.
Makinde noted that his administration will keep creating opportunities as well as the expansion of the economy. He said whatever the teachers do in their various schools will reflect on the overall performance of his administration. He urged them to remain committed to the task before them.
While delivering his address earlier, the Executive Chairman, Oyo State Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Akinade Alamu, noted that the aim of the training programme is to ensure that students’ performances in WAEC and NECO examinations match government’s investment in the education space.
Alamu appealed to all participants to make the best use of the opportunity provided by this training exercise.
