The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, will inaugurate the Governing Board of Oyo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps to fight against insecurity in the state.
The state has been battling with different security challenges lately, ranging from incessant herdsmen attacks in Igangan area of Ibarapaland, the last week Wednesday clash between phone traders and members of Park Managers at Iwo Road which claimed a live while many others were reportedly injured.
GOALPOACHER NEWS recalls that Governor launched the security network on November, 2020 in Oyo town. Makinde said the outfit will help combat crimes in collaboration with the police and other federal security agencies.
GOALPOACHER NEWS gathered that the inauguration of the Oyo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps Governing Board will be attended by top government functionaries. The event is expected to hold at the Executive Council Chamber, Governor’s Office, Agodi, Ibadan.
