Key Into Oyo Govt’s Windows of Assistance Through SAfER – Olatunbosun Tells TAMPAN

 

The Oyo State Government has assured theatre arts practitioners of continuous support and meaningful partnership, acknowledging their immense contributions in advancing the cultural values of the State.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), on Friday, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun reiterated the state government’s resolve to support and partner the theatre arts industry.

The Commissioner stated that the State Government is willing and ready to partner with the practitioners, thanking them for being genuine ambassadors of the State.

Dr. Olatubosun implored the practitioners to key into the various windows of assistance opened for residents through the ongoing Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery, SAfER program, by the State Government.

The Commissioner promised that the State Government will continue to show concern for the welfare of veterans in the industry.

The Commissioner also hinted that the Cultural Centre which is a hub of activities for Theatre Practitioners in the State, is a major focus under Tourism Expansion, in the Road Map for Sustainable Development Agenda of the Governor Seyi Makinde’s Led Administration.

Speaking earlier, the Governor of TAMPAN, Yeye Bose Akinola, appreciated the State Government for the support accorded to the Association, and unrestricted access to the State’s Cultural Centre.

She said the access is a grand platform to promote the cultural genres, norms and values in the State through their theatrical productions.

On the TAMPAN entourage were Pa Tunbosun Odunsi, Elders Samson Eluwole and Kayode Olaiya, Alhaji Babatunde Bamgbose, the Organizing Secretary for the Association, Princess Victoria Ajibola, alongside other State Executives.
