KYARI’S BURIAL:EXCLUSIVE—– NIGERIANS DISAPPOINTED AS THE PUNISHER OF OFFENDERS PAID LIP SERVICE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING

GOALPOACHER NEWS EDITORIAL UNIT TAKES A LOOK AT THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S DISOBEDIENCE TO SOCIAL GATHERING AND DISTANCING

Whatever compromises a nation’s growth has compromised its fruitfulness. Fruitfulness is a resultant and culmination of a thriving life politically, socially, economically, spiritually and physically.

The finest hour is not a funfair hour, ironically, it is mostly, the toughest hour, like the darkest hour we are in now as a nation nearest to the dawn of a new life.

Would the leadership of this country blame Nigerians for guessing and assumptions whenever there is vacuum of knowledge and truth?
Are Nigerians having the fitted Leadership in the contemporary dispensation?

Nothing makes one a misfit, both positionally and functionally as occupying a designated position by default.
For the late Abba Kyari, is it a sheer gullibility to lose one soul for disposable and expendable earthly glory?

Nigerians react via their social media handles, to express there displeasures on the burial of Abba Kyari’s corpse.

“Can you imagine a COVID-19 case been buried openly like this?
Where is the social distancing?
I thought COVID-19 corpses can’t be released to families and are instantly buried?
Families are not even allowed to get close. This country confuses me.”

Another WhatsApp user, Ayorinde Somoju NIPR platform writes.

“No coronavirus death victims body will be released to the family for burial said Lai Mohammed and here we can see that Abba Kyari’s body was released to the family for burial, I guess we have two set of laws in this country. One for the rich and another for the poor. May God have mercy on us in this nation.”

The government had ordered the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to stay at home and maintain social distancing in all their dealings to prevent the spread of COVID-19

– But the same government flouted its order of social distancing during the distribution of food items to the people

Despite warnings issued by the government at all levels that people should engage in frequent hand washing and social distancing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria, some state governments have failed to work their talks in the efforts to rid the country of the deadly disease.

There are more deep seated issues raised by Nigerians. These inclide,
Why was the Abba Kyari’s corpse given to the family?
Why was he given that burial?
Have all those who were in contact with him been tested?
What was his contact tracing like?
Who will be held responsible for flouting the social gathering order?
Is Abuja not on lockdown in order to prevent the wider spread of COVID-19?

The ruling class should strive to practise what they say and do what they preach. Our leaders shouldn’t speak from the two sides of their mouths and operate double standards.

The leadership class must jettison politics of parochialism and conventional prejudices.
