A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and African Democratic Congress gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 election, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin has debunked the media report that he lobbied to become Secretary to the State Government after the Inauguration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State and South West who didn’t want his name in the print while speaking with GOAL POACHER NEWS alleged that Senator Lanlehin wanted the SSG position, hence, why Lanlehin rejected the Chairman State Advisory Council which Governorakinde offered him.
Reacting to the report, through Lanlehin Media Bureau and sent to GOAL POACHER NEWS reads in part:
“I do not know your sources, but I must debunk the claim that Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan), angled to become SSG.
I’m hearing this for the very first time, and I must confess it is totally false and baseless.”
“How on earth can a man who’s been Member, Federal House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Chairman, Benin/Owena River Basin Development Authority, Chairman and Pro-Chancellor, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, before becoming Senator, Oyo South Senatorial District, as well as being a frontline governorship candidate, angle to become SSG to Gov. Makinde?
“If you study Oyo State’s political arrangement well, after the governorship, Oyo South Senator is the other most prominent electoral office.
Is his angling to become SSG then a promotion or a demotion?
That claim, from whatever source, is totally unfounded.”
