Late Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun Was An Advocate of True Federalism – Otunba Ogunsola Mourns

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole Federal Constituency, Otunba Olushina John Ogunsola has described the late paramount king of Ibadan land, Oba Senator Lekan Balogun as a true democrat who preached true federalism while serving his fatherland.

Otunba Ogunsola, a philanthropist of note in Oluyole local government in his condolence message, stated that the late monarch’s lifespan preached rewarding democracy till he kicked the bucket few days ago.

He commiserated with Governor Seyi Makinde, the government of Oyo State, Olubadan in council, family of the late monarch, lawmakers, sons and daughters of Ibadan land over the irreparable loss.

“The entire Ibadan people and Oyo State in general lost, an ICON, the king who believed in freedom, and whose lifespan preached rewarding democracy till he kicked the bucket, on March 14, 2024 “Senator Mahood Olalekan Balogun.

“The entire Nigeria will miss the Olubadan king, whose demise threw remorse and soberness in the hearts of Ibadan indigenes and the entire Oyo State.

“I Otunba Olusina John Ogunsola, empress my warm condolences to the entire family of the late king, Our Able Oyo State governor, H.E Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde, for the great loss of our father, who passed away at the age of 81.

“We hope and we pray for the fortitude of the family to bear the loss. I commiserate with the Oyo lawmakers, the chiefs in council, the Mogajis, and the Ibadan people, and the most commiseration goes to our Governor on the loss of the great king.”
