The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has commiserated with the immediate family and PDP members in Oyo State over the death of Chief Yekinni Ayoade Adeojo whose death occurred this morning

In a condolence statement personally issued and made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja described his death as a colossal loss to the PDP in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

I received the news of the death of our revered father, leader, mentor and elder statesman, Alhaji Chief Yekinni Ayoade Adeojo with rude shock.

Chief Yekinni Ayoade Adeojo who was one of the founding fathers of the PDP in Nigeria and the first Deputy National Chairman of the party contributed immensely to the growth and development of Nigeria’s political landscape.

Arapaja stressed that late Adeojo who held religious title as the Seriki Musulumi of Oyo State until his death was a consistent political leader, highly principled, disciplined, philanthropist and highly committed party man.

Arapaja said that though the deceased fought for the number one seat in Oyo State on different occasions without making it, he never played any anti party activities or decamp to any other party.

While commiserating with the Oyo State government under the leadership of Engr, Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State PDP, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, Chairman Ido local government, Hon. Elias Adeojo, Chairman Water Corporation of Oyo State and the entire Adeojo family that the deceased left behind, Ambassador Arapaja enjoined them to take solace in the fact that he lived a purposeful and fulfilling life.

He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive Chief Yekinni Adeojo’s shortcomings and admit him to Aljanat fridaous. He also prayed to God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
