The Special Assistant on Student Affairs to governor Seyi Makinde, Victor Olojede, has described the move by the governor to reduce the tuition fees of students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) by 25 per cent as a step in the right direction.
Olojede, who also commended the efforts of the governor on the sole ownership of the institution, pointed out that he has practically shown he is capable of delivering on his campaign promises. He added that Makinde has demonstrated his unflinching support for students across the state. He said the governor’s decision signals the beginning of something bigger for the Pace Setter State and that the massive turnout of students to welcome the governor is a clear indication that students in Oyo state tertiary institutions love him.
