The Peoples Democratic Party Chairmanship Candidate in Ido local government area has congratulated the newly elected chairmen sworn in today by Engr Seyi Makinde governor Oyo State.
In a media statement made available to news men in Ibadan, Adeojo thanked the people of the state for coming out enmasse to vote for the PDP in the recently concluded election, while also wishing them a successful tenure in office.
It will be recalled that the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission postponed the election for Ido local government till Wednesday 26th May, however Adeojo who is the son of the former Peoples Democratic Party Deputy National Chairman South West, said he is not perturbed by the postponement, remarking that he has confidence in OYSIEC to conduct a free and fair elections in Ido come Wednesday, just as they did in other parts of the State last Saturday.
Adeojo who was the immediate past caretaker Chairman of Omi Apata Lcda, urged the people and residents of Ido not to be discouraged by the postponement of the elections but should come out in large numbers to vote the PDP, as the party remains the only vehicle through which the dividends of democracy can be delivered.
He also commended Governor Seyi Makinde for creating the enabling environment for democracy to thrive, he reiterated that the governor through is leadership style has made the PDP a very attractive political party and that he hopes to continue in the foot steps of the governor, when he emerges as the elected chairman of Ido local government area.
Lastly he told is supporters to ensure that they mobilize the people to come out on Wednesday to vote, the house to house campaign should continue, he said. He noted that the present delay will end in praises for the PDP in Ido local government.
