Wary of what approaching the 2023 polls with divided fronts portend for their electoral fortunes, critical stakeholders of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo State are ready to address the worsening crisis in the party. GOALPOACHER NEWS reports.
The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and Peoples Democratic Party leaders in the state are set for the party’s caucus meeting .
The meeting is scheduled to hold tomorrow, (Monday), 6th September, 2021 at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
Speaking with GOALPOACHER NEWS on the meeting slated for tomorrow, a chieftain of the party who is also an ally of Governor Makinde who didn’t want his name in the print said the caucus meeting is like the “elders’ council,” where issues affecting the party in recent times will be reviewed, the state congress will be discussed, positions will be zoned to all the five zones which are, Ibadan, Ibarapa, Oke Ogun, Ogbomoso and Oyo. The source added that disciplinary issues against party members may be discussed.
The source said some serving members of the State Working Committee will not be returning to their positions when the congress starts. He gave the breakdown of the present executives and the camps that produced them in 2017.

2)Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, (Secretary),he emerged from the camp of Seyi Makinde, Mulika Adeola and Hosea Agboola
3)Akeem Olatunji, (PRO), he emerged from Ladoja’s camp
4)Adekola Adeoye, (Youth Leader), he emerged from Ladoja’s camp.
