Residents of Ibadan have appealed to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to,as a matter of urgency, take proactive steps at curtailing environmental hazards, nuisance and social unrest as the influx of Almajirai into the state capital could cause soonest.
From Iwo Road ,Ojoo, Gate, Busstop, Challenge, Molete and Mokola, the story has been the same.
At Mokola, the situation has become worrisome. GOAL POACHER NEWS engaged Mr Olajide Royal, a resident of Mokola, who bared his mind on how the Almajirai have turned the Mokola bridge to a residential area and abode.
Olajide said:”This Mokola Flyover , I discussed it with late Rt Hon Kehinde Ayoola , few weeks to his sudden death. May his kind soul rest in peace.
“The late Ayoola told me that the Ministry of Environment would do something about it. I pointed this menace to the Commissioner of Women Affairs, she visited the place without any positive result to show.
“Sir, Your Excellency Seyi Makinde, this Mokola bridge has turned to a hiding place for armed robbers,kidnappers, notorious gangs and beggars in their hundreds.
