Makinde’s Ally, Famojuro, Double T in Attendance as Olufade Commissions Shops, Parks Named After Late Akinremi Jagaban

In a significant event yesterday, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, officially commissioned the Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban Ultramodern Lock-Up Shops and Motor Park in Bodija Market.

The ceremony attracted numerous political figures and business leaders.

The program began with opening remarks by the Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, Hon. Ademola Omotoso.

He praised Hon. Olufade for his impactful leadership in Ibadan North, describing him as a youth with intellectual capacity and humility.

He also lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his transformational leadership, which has taken the people from poverty to prosperity.

Omotoso expressed his joy that despite initial grumbling from market sellers and transporters, everyone is now happy with the completed project, with all shop owners and transporters returning to their spaces.

Alhaji Taofeek Akinremi, brother to the late Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, after whom the facility is named, expressed his gratitude to Governor Makinde, Otunba Seye Famojuro, and Hon. Olufade for their support to the family.

He highlighted Otunba Seye Famojuro’s continued support even after the late representative’s death.

The Otun Iyaloja of Bodija Market, Alhaja Afusat Oyebamiji, also known as R.O., commended Otunba Seye Famojuro and his entourage for attending the event.

She expressed her appreciation to Governor Makinde for his attentive governance and to Hon. Olufade for his integrity and commitment to fulfilling his promises to the market traders.

The commissioning was performed by Hon. Tunde Tijani, popularly known as Double T.

In his speech, Hon. Olufade thanked all dignitaries for their presence and pledged to continue serving diligently as the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government.

After the commissioning, Hon. Olufade and Otunba Seye Famojuro attended the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of the new executives of the Ibadan Foodstuff Sellers Association, Bodija Market, where Chief Dauda Adegbenro, a.k.a Darosa, was sworn in as the new elected chairman of the association.

Otunba Famojuro was honored with a peace award for his role in mediating a long-standing conflict among the market factions.

The Babaloja of Bodija Market, Alhaji Chief Sunmaila Aderemi Jimoh, also known as S.A.J., praised Governor Seyi Makinde, Otunba Famojuro and the executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, hon oluwaseun Olufade for their efforts in restoring peace.

The event concluded with a performance by Oyo State musical icon, Alhaji Taye Currency, adding a lively atmosphere to the inauguration.
