Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has extended his warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde, on the occasion of his 57th birthday.
Hon. Adepoju, in his congratulatory message to the number one citizen of Oyo State on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, described Makinde as a leader of leaders and a seasoned administrator without blemish.
The federal lawmaker said Gov. Makinde’s giant strides in every sector of Oyo State have made the state the most sought-after destination for not just investors but also those looking for a good standard of living within and outside Nigeria.
The Ibarapa-born politician cum technocrat praised Makinde on his 57th birthday, describing him as a progressive, pragmatic, proactive and patriotic leader who governs with the fear of God.
“I am very excited to join my leader and mentor in celebrating his birthday today. It has been 57 years of impact and results. You have never ceased to show leadership in any area of life; a perfect example of such an exceptional and rare leadership trait in you was the cancellation of your 57th birthday celebration in honour of those children who lost their lives during Christmas funfair in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, last week. I know it is a period of mixed feelings for you, as a father and a leader of substance.
“You have shaped my political career in ways that words cannot describe, and I am grateful for the gift of your mentorship, which has inspired my passion to serve God and humanity. My leader, yours is that of hard work, transparency, probity and inspirational leadership in the service of our dear state; these traits are cornucopic in nature, and I have imbibed every single one of them in my day-to-day presentation in my constituency and Nigeria as a whole.
“No doubt, you have excelled in every endeavour, including business and politics; embodying the ethos and qualities required to lead effectively. Dear leader, I cannot begin, just like many others in my shoes, to count our blessings since knowing you, and I want to say that you are indeed an architect of a progressive and prosperous Oyo State,” Ibarapakan extolled.
The lawmaker also remarked that the birth of Gov. Makinde was divine; this, he said, is evident in his Christlike attitude, disposition and personality.
He wished the Governor sound health, longevity, wisdom to overcome every challenge, strength to continue to serve, the ability to do more for humanity and the grace to continue to be the pride of the world at large.
