Makinde’s SA on Students’ Affairs, OYSACA sensitize Poly Ibadan students to menace of HIV/AIDS

The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Students’ Affairs, Honourable Victor Olojede, in partnership with the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS on Thursday, organized HIV/AIDS sensitization and awareness program for Students of The Polytechnic Ibadan.

The event which started around 10am had students from various departments and faculties in the Institution at the Assembly Hall, Polytechnic Ibadan.

The event had in attendat the Dean of students and some other lecturers .

At the event, HIV /AIDS club was formed in the Institution which according to the Governor’s aide, will be a platform for students to be more enlightened and enlighten other students of the institution.

Speaking further, Hon Victor Olojede, noted that the HIV / AIDS sensitization and awareness program will be extended to all the Oyo state owned tertiary institutions.

He commended the wife of the Oyo State Governor, Mrs Makinde who is the chairperson of OYSACA, for approving the partnership with SA Students’ Office.

Hon Olojede added that the HIV/AIDS club will be in all Oyo state owned institutions will be supported and supervised by OYSACA.

The staff of OYSACA sensitized the students on safe sex. Condoms where shared to students at the end of the event. The SUG president in his closing remarks lauded the Oyo State Government for bring the initiative and staring the program at their institution.
