More Encomiums Pour In For Governor Makinde As Oyo Govt Honours Baba Koleoso

 

A US based indigene of Ago-Are in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State, Prince Kola A. Adetola, has showered encomiums on His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for honouring the babalaje of Saki land, Baba Michael Akano Koleoso with the renaming of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic after the Nationalist.

Prince Adetola, in a special digital release to media houses, and personally signed by him, commends Governor Makinde’s foresight in renaming the institution at a time Chief Koleoso is alive, hale and healthy. He says “Governor Makinde’s foresight in renaming the institution during Chief Koleoso’s lifetime breaks the ageold adage that recognition is often delayed until after one’s passing. This bold move not only celebrates Chief Koleoso’s achievements but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for current and future generations. The renaming of The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki is not just a symbolic gesture; it is a testament to Governor Makinde’s commitment to honoring our local heroes and preserving our cultural heritage. By bestowing this honor upon Chief Koleoso, the Governor has reaffirmed the importance of recognizing and celebrating the contributions of our esteemed elders”.

He earlier said that “As a proud native of Oke Ogun, specifically from Ago-Are, the news of Governor Seyi Makinde’s decision to rename The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki after Chief Michael Adeniyi Akano Koleoso fills me with immense pride and joy”.
