Newly Constructed LG Service Commission Building, Governor’s Office, Others Affected By Explosive Devices

The effect of the explosion that rocked Ibadan the Oyo state capital on Tuesday night was felt by buildings and Offices within the State Secretariat Agodi Ibadan.

A visit to some of the Ministries and Parastatals by JAMZ FM Governor’s office Correspondent, Segun Kehinde revealed that there were severe damages caused by the explosive device.

Among the affected offices were the Office of the Governor, Governor’s media office, Water Cooperation Building that houses other ministries, the State Secretariat Central Mosque, the Secretariat Chapel, Revenue House, and the newly built and yet to be commissioned Local Government Service Commission, and the Local Government Staff Training School.

Glasses were shattered on the floor, ceilings were forced down, doors forcefully opened and damaged, likewise Computer Systems were also affected in some offices.

Some members of staff who could not sit in their office due to damages caused by the explosion were seeing in groups discussing the unfortunate incident.

According to an anonymous staff member of the Revenue House office, Who conducted our reporter round, described the incident as drastic, hoping that the affected properties would soon be fixed by the state government.

Our reporter also caught the area view of some devastated buildings within the neighboring housing estate behind the state secretariat, Agodi Ibadan.
