In a show of appreciation for the numerous job opportunities facilitated by the lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju on Thursday, December 19, 2024, received constituents who were recently employed by the Federal Fire Service.
The distinguished constituents, led by Dr. Oyediran Wasiu Oyeleke, PhD and Alhaji Musibau Taofeek Adebare Ajasa, took the new Fire Service Officers to the National Assembly of Nigeria to appreciate the lawmaker’s infrastructural and human capital development in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North.
The Fire Service employees had come to Abuja, the nation’s capital, for their documentation exercise and deemed it fit to appreciate the lawmaker for facilitating their employment in the service of the federal government of Nigeria.
Appreciating the lawmaker, Dr. Oyediran said Ibarapakan has demystified representation, saying that the Ibarapa-born lawmaker has set a standard too high for aspiring politicians in Ibarapa land and beyond. He expressed that Hon. Adepoju has opened the eyes of everyone that governance is not rocket science and a one-man business.
“Today, you can be in Abuja and feel like you want to see the honourable lawmaker representing you without having to go through any stress to access his office. We have elected a man who is always visible at home; if this had been the usual practice, our constituency would not be where it is before now,” he said.
In his own remarks, Alhaji Musibau Taofeek appreciated the lawmaker for rendering naysayers speechless by his wonderful performance, noting that the lawmaker’s priority for transparency and accountability has distinguished him among those who have had the chance to be in the position he currently occupies.
The former banker said the good people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, having experienced what Hon. Adepoju has done in terms of infrastructural and human capital development, cannot afford to go back to Egypt going forward.
Mr. Oyediran Rokeeb Oloyede, Miss Olajumoke Christianah Oyedepo and Mr. Oladiran Wale Soliu, the Fire Service employees, thanked the lawmaker for making their dream job come true, promising to make the lawmaker proud in their service to the federal government of Nigeria. Mr. Oladiran Wasiu, who was absent due to the need to complete his documentation exercise, also extended his appreciation to the lawmaker for his noble efforts in making Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North a place full of opportunities.
