No Sacred Cows, Investigate, Prosecute Those Fingered in Recent Spate of Killings in Ibadan- Tegbe Tells Makinde
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and leading gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Mogaji Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe has advised the Oyo state government to seek collaboration of the Armed Forces through a combined Military Task Force.
Tegbe stated this on Friday while speaking with journalists in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
Tegbe who spoke against the backdrop of multiple attacks by herdsmen in Igangan and the Wednesday clash between phone traders and members of the PMS which claimed one life. He noted that periodic air patrol would fish out possible hideouts of kidnappers bandits and other murderous criminals.
In addition, he suggested community policing through collaborative efforts of the Nigerian Police, Amotekun Corps and local vigilantes.
Above all, he admonished Governor Seyi Makinde to ensure that those fingered in the recent spate of killings and arson should be investigated and prosecuted with no sacred cows.
While speaking on his gubernatorial ambition, Tegbe said he would not join those making noise on social media or pages of news about ambition. Instead, he posited that he would keep his strategies close to his chest. He added that he had toured the entire Ibarapa, Ibadan and Oyo federal constituencies while moves are in top gear to visit APC leaders and stakeholders in Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun zones.
