Nurses in Oyo Receiving Arrears of Emoluments – Dr Fagbemi Hails Makinde’s Impactful Leadership

 

The Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has described Governor Seyi Makinde as a good coach who knows how to select the qualified players for different roles.

The chairman stated this at a radio program on Honor FM while welcoming back Governor Seyi Makinde after a month-long vacation to refresh himself.

Dr. Fagbemi commended Governor Makinde for his bold step in selecting a round-peg-in-a-role and his great vision for the state, creating an affordable and accessible healthcare delivery to the people.

He praised Governor Makinde for providing affordable healthcare services for the people by creating the Oyo State Health Insurance Scheme for easy accessibility.

Dr. Fagbemi further hailed Governor Seyi Makinde for equipping hospitals in the state, especially the Ring-Road State Hospital, which he commissioned and renovated the Renal Dialysis Center and High Dependency Unit for critical and emergency cases of renal failure.

He noted that the current recruitment by the board is to have qualified consultants, doctors, and personnel who can handle the new facilities provided for hospitals in the state.

The chairman assured that nurses in the state have been receiving alerts for their arrears, and Governor Makinde has met the demands of the state union of nurses for them to be effective in their services rendering to the state.

Dr. Fagbemi urged all people in the state to take care of their health, access public health facilities, and involve themselves in regular exercises.

He emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and encouraged citizens to take advantage of the state’s healthcare initiatives.

Dr. Fagbemi expressed his gratitude to Governor Makinde for his unwavering support for the healthcare sector in Oyo State.
