The Director General of Oyo State Liaison Office, Abuja and Lagos, Honourable [Dr] Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, has brought joy to the teachers of Ona-Ara local government area in Oyo state. He pledged to complete the union building at Elekuro High School, which has been under construction for years.
According to a communique release through the NUT Ona-Ara branch, a meeting was held between OTOPE foundation and union representatives, which yielded fruitful results.
Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji expressed his readiness to extend the philanthropic hand of the foundation to Ona-Ara teachers’ house.
The OTOPE foundation, represented by Hon. Idris Gbedeogun [Personal Assistant and S.A. on works to Ona-Ara LG] and Hon. Abolore Olalere assured the union that the union building would be completed in a couple of days.
Hon. Idris expressed joy over the reception they received from teachers and solicited their support in his future ambition. He also expressed gratitude for the award bestowed on his principal, Hon. Temitope Ezekiel Oladimeji [OTOPE] describes it as motivation to do more for the betterment of all in Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency.
The NUT Chairman, Ona-Ara, Com- Adewale Azeez expressed overwhelming happiness for the promise from the honourable in quick completion of the building. He assured OTOPE entourage of unalloyed support in his aspirations to represent Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency.
He said his various philanthropic activities spoke volumes about his competence and genuine love for the people of his constituency. He assured that teachers would mobilize and support his ambition and thanked the entourage for the gift of aluminium windows and cement, among other building materials promised.
Comrade Adewale emphasized that, with the collaboration between OTOPE foundation and the union, the union building will be commissioned the first week of November.
The meeting was attended by various teacher representatives, including Com-Sola Obisesan [ Branch Secretary]; Comrade [Mrs] F.M. Alademerin [Branch Treasurer]; Ogundiran Omosalewa [Branch Publicity Secretary]; and Com-Fatai T.D, Special Assistant on Media to the Branch Chairman.
Additionally, all zonal leaders were present, demonstrating the unity and collective enthusiasm of the teachers in the Ona-Ara local government area. The atmosphere was electric, with excitement and gratitude palpable as the teachers celebrated OTOPE’s pledge to complete the union building and his commitment to supporting their welfare.
As the meeting drew to a close, the teachers erupted into applause, thanking OTOPE and his team for their kindness and dedication to their well-being. It was a moment of joy and hope, a testament to the power of collaboration and the impact of selfless leadership.
