The Ogun Oshun River Basin Development Authority Development has donated products to the Oyo State Government as relief items to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 lockdown.
Delivering his speech, the Managing Director of the Organisation, Olufemi Olayemi Odumosi, said,
“It is however with mixed feeling that I have, on this occasion of our formal donation of some items of Agricultural value and products of our organisation to the Oyo State Government to provide the relief materials to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown in the state, for distribution to communities so as to meet the needs of the vulnerable citizens.”
“Certainly, these are not the best of times for our dear country. The incidence of coronavirus pandemic is taking its toll in our lives, the economy and the society at large. The attendant lockdown and restrictions on movement and the extension of this, we have also made the provision of palliatives and support for poor and vulnerable.”
“It is therefore a great honour for us and we are very much elated at the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources to have the pleasure to contribute the following items to the Government of Oyo State which include:
1) 200 crates of eggs package of 30 per crate of 6,000 eggs.
2)200 cartons of O-ORBDA Table Water(2,400 Nos.75cL bottles)
3)60 bags of 5kg O-ORBDA Refined Garri products.”
The Managing Director, commended Engr Seyi Makinde, and his team foe their great efforts at initiating the mitigation and the resilience towards combating the COVID-19 scourge in Oyo State.
