Oloye Benedict Akika, a prominent figure in Oyo state, has added another significant chieftaincy title to his already illustrious collection, becoming the Mayegun of Akobo.
In a grand ceremony attended by numerous dignitaries, this remarkable event also saw Chief Akika’s wife being honored with the title of Yeye Mayegun of Akobo.
The occasion, which was graced by distinguished personalities, featured the presence of Bada Olubadan, Barrister Muyiwa Makinde, the elder brother of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who himself played a prominent role in the celebration. Hon. Olushola Owolabi, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North East Constituency 2, was also conferred with the title of Balogun Baale Akobo.
