Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has maintained that there are no issues in the Olubadan traditional system, saying that once the nomination is officially communicated to him by the Olubadan-in-Council, he would take the necessary step.
The Governor gave the assurance on Wednesday while hosting a delegation of the state government (Muslims), led by the deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, who paid him homage after observing Eid Prayer at the Agodi Praying Ground, Ibadan.
Makinde who congratulated the Muslims Ummah, urged the people of the state to remain calm on the ascension of the new Olubadan of Ibadan, noting that no matter the situation, it will always be resolved.
Speaking on the forthcoming Local Government election, the Governor appealed to people of the state not to take the election as a do or die affairs, adding that he would continue to run a responsible administration that is fair to political appointees.
Earlier in his message, the deputy Governor Barrister Bayo-Lawal, appreciated the leadership qualities of Governor Makinde, describing him as a God-ordained leader who did everything within his capacity to ensure religious harmony amongst religionists in the state
