Residents of Omi-Apata Local Council Development Area have been assured of rapid development in all the wards of the LCDA.
The assurance was given by the Caretaker Chairman, Omi-Apata LCDA Hon Sheriff Adeojo while fielding questions on a radio programme titled ” Ijoba Ibile” on Splash FM today.
The council boss said he has embarked on various developmental projects in the first six months of his administration and also promised to do more.
He pointed out that he embarked on grading of roads, dredging of streams and rivers, drilling of borehole within the LCDA secretariat, cultivation of 10 acres of rice, repair of LG tractor, distribution of COVID-19 preventive materials such as sanitisers, hand washing buckets, face masks, liquid wash soap, distribution of palliatives such as gari, beans, rice, milk just to mention a few.
He said ” the people of Omi-Apata LCDA will witness new projects that will make life more meaningful and bearable such as provision and installation of transformers , good road network, provision of potable water that is boreholes, renovation of classrooms just to mention a few of the numerous things that are in the pipeline for our people”
In order to carry our people along ” I have held series of meetings with traditional rulers and other stakeholders in my LCDA to provide suitable land for various developmental projects that my administration want to embark upon.
The council chairman then used the medium to appreciate the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for extending the tenure of office of all LGs and LCDAs Caretaker Chairmen in the state.
