In a concerted effort to address food security and alleviate hunger within the state, the Oyo State Government is working tirelessly to create an enabling environment that attracts investors into the agricultural sector.
This was the key message conveyed by Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, the Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency, during his recent visit to the Fashola Agribusiness Hub in Oyo.
During the visit, the agency’s primary objective was not only to inspect the ongoing projects within the hub but also to send a clear signal to potential investors that the state government is committed to developing the Fashola Agribusiness Hub into a world-class facility.
Speaking on behalf of the agency, Engineer Salawu highlighted the numerous amenities available at the hub, including industrial warehouses, a well-developed road network, adequate security, and farm machinery for hire, all of which contribute to ensuring the safety and security of investors’ funds.
“With the facilities available at the Fashola Agribusiness Hub, investors can rest assured that their investments are secure.”
“We are, therefore, calling on more investors to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration and invest in the hub.”
During the visit, the agency’s team, accompanied by the project consultant, inspected several ongoing projects within the hub, including the Quarters, the Administration block, the Gulf House, the Workshop, and the renovation of various farm houses.
This strategic move by the Oyo State Government underscores its unwavering commitment to food security and its determination to create a conducive environment for agricultural investment.
By inviting private citizens to join hands with the government, the state is paving the way for a collaborative approach to addressing the critical issue of hunger in the land.
As the Fashola Agribusiness Hub continues to evolve and attract more investors, the people of Oyo State can look forward to a future where food security and agricultural prosperity are the norm, thanks to the state government’s proactive efforts.
