The caretaker chairperson of Orire Local Government, Hon Lydia has completed installation of borehole projects at different communities in her council area.

Hon Lydia revealed in a chat with GOALPOACHER NEWS reporter on Saturday. She noted that the communities which are predominantly villages had complained about lack of potable water for years.

She added that upon her appointment as the Local Government boss, she set up a committee to assess different communities in the council and to note their needs.

She stressed that it was the reports of the committee that enabled to have the background knowledge of what the residents needed.

Speaking further, Hon Lydia said the approach she adopted is in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s style of governance in which the needs of those at the grassroots must be prioritised.

Some of the borehole projects are sited in the following communities listed below.

    1) Borehole drilling and installation in Ikoyi
    2) Borehole drilling at Alabebe village
    3) Borehole drilling and installation at Oloka village
4)Borehole repairs at Sango, Afejewe, Oja Tuntun, Olugbemi and Local Government quarters.
