The OTOPE Political Movement, a socio-political group operating under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Egbeda Local Government chapter, on Friday, February 6, 2026, held a strategic general meeting at IDC Primary School, Gbagi, Egbeda Local Government Area, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The meeting attracted members and supporters from across the wards in Egbeda Local Government, including artisans, associations, and other grassroots stakeholders. Attendees unanimously reaffirmed their confidence in the leadership and vision of Hon. Chief (Dr.) Temitope Ezekiel Oladimeji (OTOPE).
Dr. Oladimeji, a philanthropist and founder of the OTOPE Foundation, is widely viewed as a strong contender to represent Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections. Supporters at the meeting described him as a grassroots-driven leader with a deep understanding of the needs of the people.
Participants also used the occasion to reaffirm their full support for the administration of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, commending his commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, and people-oriented policies across the state.
Prominent political and community leaders from Egbeda Local Government were present at the meeting, including Hon. Tayo Adedediran, Iya Aafin Oyedijo, Hon. Israel Alade, Hon. Tayewo, Hon. Ayanniyi, Iya Balogun, Alhaji Onikede, Alhaji Moreke, Hon. Teslim Ayinla, Hon. Salaudeen Morakinyo, Omowunmi Okunola, Hon. Ogunjide Akinloye, Aransi Adelokun, Hon. Omilowo Rasheed, Hon. Akano, Hon Erinfolami, and host of others.
The strategic meeting ended with a renewed call for unity within the PDP, increased grassroots mobilisation, and sustained political engagement ahead of future electoral activities in the local government and beyond.
