The Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), led by its board Chairman, Hon. Abideen Adeaga, has started its community projects inspection tour to Oyo, Ogbomoso and Oke-Ogun communities under the Nigeria Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CAREs).
The inspection team which was led by the Chairman, Hon. Abideen Adeaga on Wednesday visited Aseyori Community at Oyo West local government, where a block of three (3) classrooms was constructed with furniture, toilet facilities and motorized borehole.
The team’s second point of inspection was Otesin-maye community in Oyo East local government where a motorized borehole was sunk and two (2) blocks of five (5) classrooms were renovated.
At Ayekale Kalubi, a border community with Kwara State under Oriire local government, the team inspected a newly-constructed community health center with furniture, health equipment and a motorized borehole for the use of the members of the community that comprises of thirty-four villages.
At Ore-Ofe Community in Igbeti, Olorunsogo local government area, OYCSDA intervened in the renovation of a block three (3) classrooms with furniture and renovation of four (4) units of VIP toilets for students and teachers of UMCA Secondary School, Igbeti, as well as a motorized borehole.
Also, at Alubarika/Asabari community in Saki, Saki West local government, there is renovation of a block of four (4) classrooms, furniture and office with toilet facility at Asabari Grammar School and a motorized borehole at Alubarika community.
The Board Chairman also extended his visit to the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre, offices and three units of toilets with motorized borehole at Alaseyori community, Igbojaye in Itesiwaju local government.
The team was also at Ajumose Community Iseyin Local Government where a motorized borehole was sunk for the community and a block of six (6) classrooms was renovated with furniture and VIP toilet at Anwar-ul-Islam High School, Iseyin.
Hon. Abideen Adeaga appreciated the CPMCs for the job well done in all the project sites. He noted that the use of quality materials for the projects would ensure their durability and sustainability.
Abideen hinted that Governor Makinde’s administration has the vision of transforming the rural and urban communities with provision of basic amenities, which has started since the first term of the administration.
He said the approach has gone a long way to stem rural-urban migration around Oyo State.
They were urged to put finishing touches to the works done before the visit of the Independent Verification Agent (IVA).
“I was excited on this project based on the need for ICT learning by our children and adults, because it is the in-thing in the world today.
“Help us work for the best of this project so it will last and outlive us all. The present administration in Oyo State, led by our amiable governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde shall do all within his disposal to do more for the people of Oyo State.
“We are very impressed with the work done and we believe that before the day of commissioning, all the projects would have been completed, functional and fully utilized.
“The conscious effort of Governor Seyi Makinde and his government to stem rural-urban migration is yielding positive results from the effects of these projects and the people in the rural communities are better for it.
“I am of the belief that whenever the time comes to talk about this project, your names will be mentioned,” Hon. Adeaga told the Community Project Management Committees (CPMCs).
All the CPMC Chairmen gave kudos to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for fulfilling his electioneering promises on community development across the State.
The Chairmen prayed for the Governor to continue the good work of Omituntun 2.0 – Road map to Sustainable Development in the State.
