Oyo Assembly Passes Project Performance Monitoring Agency Bill Into Law •Makinde May Appoint… As DG

 

The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed into law Oyo state Project Performance Monitoring Agency bill after scaling through the third reading.

The bill was passed into law by the Assembly has given the Agency power to monitor and evaluate consultants or contractors performance levels based on delivery,time and contractual agreements with the Government.

The plenary was presided over by the speaker, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin began with the third reading of Oyo state project performance monitoring Agency bill 2023.

Presenting the report of Committee on special duties on Oyo state performance monitoring Agency bill 2023, the Deputy Speaker,  Hon Abiodun Fadeyi who is the chairman of the committee told the house that if the bill was passed into law it would improve contractors’ performance level based on delivery time and contractual agreements with the government.

The House later constituted itself into committee chaired by the Speaker, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin to check the bill clause by clause before it was passed into law.

The House also received committee on public petitions, Justice and Judiciary on its investigation of a petition presented by its chairman Hon Ogundare

The petition titled Re:appeal for the suspension and stopping of illegal and unauthorized demolition and eviction of our business structures on land situate,Lying and being at nehind Housing Corporation Estate,Along Iwo road/ Ojoo Expressway.

Meanwhile there are indications that Governor Seyi Makinde may elevate one of his aides from Ogbomoso who currently serves in a capacity related to the new agency.
