The Oyo state government has begun one-month enforcement of compliance to COVID-19 preventive measures at markets across the state after which arrest and prosecution of violators will follow suit.
The state coordinator, Emergency Operation Center, Dr. Taiwo Ladipo stated this on Wednesday at the commencement of the one-month medium-scale enforcement of zero tolerance to COVID-19 in the state which kick-started at Bodija market in Ibadan.
Also speaking, Sanitarian Tijani Adegoke, the president, environmental health officers association of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, explained that enforcement is in line with the directive of the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and assured efficiency in the discharge of task given to them without compromise.
