    Oyo Housing Corporation Assures Residents of Owode Estate of Adequate Security

    The Chairman of Oyo State Housing Corporation,Hon Ademola Omotoso has assured residents of Owode Estate that the Corporation will provide adequate security for residents of the estate in order to curb activities of hoodlums that attack residents of the estate and rob them of their belongings and also harm them.

    He said these while addressing them during a peaceful protest stage by them to the Corporation today 17th Nov. 2025.

    Omotoso said swift action will be taken by the Corporation and soonest Police post and Amotekun will be deployed to various locations in the estate in order to beef up security of the estate.

    He stated that security and safety of lives and properties of residents on all its estate is part of the responsibility of the Corporation.

    On the issue of undeveloped plots in the estate, he said certain steps have been taken by the Corporation some months earlier whereby a newspaper advertisement was placed for revocation of undeveloped plots .

    The Chairman also said efforts is ongoing to open up road network in the estate in order to make the estate more accessible to allottees. saying the process may be slow but he assured them that the Corporation will work towards making the estate more habitable for the residents.

    On the other hand,he warned Land grabbers to stop parading themselves as the owner of the Corporation property,stating that anyone who wants to lay claim to the Land should go through Legal procedure.

    He then apologized to residents of the estate for any inconvenience faced presently and promised that the Corporation will do the needful.
