OYO, KWARA, FORM SYNERGY TO END INSECURITY WITHIN BORDER-LINES

The Government of Oyo and Kwara states have resolved to form synergy with a view to end insecurity on BORDER-LINES surrounding both state in the South-Western region of the Country and the middle-belt region.

The resolution was made known by Governor Seyi Makinde after a closed-door joint-security meeting with the Kwara state’s delegation led by Governor  Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq with cabinet members of Oyo state, security chiefs of both states and Traditional rulers at the Executive Council Chambers of the Governor’s office in Ibadan.

Makinde while briefing newsmen after the meeting stated that the meeting centred on recent impasse between fulani Herders and farmers which caused loss of lives and property and the need to find lasting solutions to the recurrent issues necessitated the joint Security – meeting.

He equally enjoined the Nigerian Governors forum to make a joint-decision in addressing the ugly-insecurity issues in the Country.
