The lawmaker representing Afijio State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Prince Oladeji Oparinde on Wednesday assured residents of Okediji, Ward 1, Ilora, Afijio local government of free medical services.
This was as the lawmaker flagged-off free registration of residents for the process of their enrollment on the Oyo State Health Insurance scheme.
Hon Oparinde stated that the free medical outreach he is embarking on at the grassroot is borne out of his desire to assist some residents who are battling with different ailments and could not afford their medical bills.
The astute lawmaker promised to continue to give the needed support to the people who gave him their mandate to represent them.
The lawmaker said: “I will continue to support our people specifically on their medical request.
“You could see that the registration for the process of enrollment of our residents has begun in earnest at Ward 1, Okediji Primary Health Centre and will continue at other wards immediately after the easter celebration break.
“The essence is that our people who need basic medical care would not need to go too far from their homes to access very good medical services.”
Speaking on the category of people to benefit from the scheme, Hon Oladeji Oparinde stated that children from age five (5) and below, pregnant women and senior citizens (elderly) would be enrolled into the scheme.
