The women of Oyo State have come together to express their deepest gratitude to the First Lady, Her Excellency Engr. Olufunke Tamunominini Makinde, for her unwavering commitment to the empowerment and advancement of women.

For the second consecutive year, Engr. Olufunke Tamunominini has sponsored 50 women in Oyo State to participate in an intensive Leadership Training Programme in Dubai.
In statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD), the prestigious initiative is designed to enhance women’s leadership skills, strategic thinking, and overall personal and professional development.
The programme focused on several key areas, including strategic decision-making, effective communication, high-level problem-solving, women’s empowerment, and holistic personal development.
The initiative is unprecedented and reinforces the First Lady’s belief that women are key drivers of development and need to be equipped with the necessary tools to excel in leadership positions.
Through this training, participants have gained invaluable insights, expanded their networks, and strengthened their ability to effect meaningful change within their communities.
Beyond personal growth, the programme represents a legacy investment in the future of Oyo State as beneficiaries, the participants are committed to applying the knowledge and skills gained, mentoring other women, and fostering a culture of leadership, unity, and excellence.

According to her, Mrs Makinde’s leadership continues to inspire, uplift, and empower generations, adding that the women of Oyo State remain immensely grateful.
She was joined by other prominent women leaders, including Mrs. Ajibola Lawal (Deputy Governor’s Wife); Mrs. Olubunmi Oni (Head of Service); Olamidun Ogundoyin (Wife of the Speaker), and Mrs. Fadeyi (Deputy Speaker’s Wife).
Additional acknowledgments were made for Hon. Olufunke Comforter Olajide (female lawmaker, Oyo State State House of Assembly ); Hon. Bisi Oluranti Oyewo (female lawmaker, Oyo State State House of Assembly); Mrs. Akintunde (AKT Wife), Ms. Tara Adefope (DG), and Mrs. Kikelomo Adegoke (Accountant General). Hon. (Alhaja) Fauzat Sanni (Commissioner for Special Duty), Mrs. Ademola (Ijaya) (Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters’ Wife), and Hon.
