GOALPOACHER NEWS, who monitored the situation at the secretariat on Monday morning reports that security personnel who stationed at the gate were patiently screening those entering the secretariat to ensure that only those on level 13 above gain entrance into the secretariat.

NAN also reports that some of the civil servants are without face mask as directed by the governor while few ministries have hand-washing facilities in front of their office complex.

Some of the workers who pleaded not to be named, have mixed reactions to the resumption order.

Those in favour of the state government directive posited that the resumption would enable government activities to be alived thereby boost the revenue generation of the state.

They said the state government might record zero IGR by the end of May if the closure continue.

However, those who spoke against the resumption said that the containment and prevention of COVID-19 could only be materialised through total lock down just like some states were doing now.

They also said that the resumption of grade level 13 and above officers would not have much impact on revenue generation.
