Photonews: Ashamu Reiterates Commitment to Collaborate REA to Enhance Rural Electrification in Oyo

The Oyo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Barrister Seun Ashamu has reiterated the commitment of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration to collaborate with stakeholders including distribution companies to enhance rural electrification.

Ashamu stated this at a two-day roundtable organized by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). His words:

“I attended a two-day roundtable organised by the Rural Electrification Agency.

“The event was aimed at fostering deeper collaboration and partnership between sector stakeholders, including Distribution Companies, to enhance rural electrification.

“During my contributions, I was able to detail some of the strides Oyo State has made in the area of rural electrification including mini-grids, provision of solar systems for primary health centres and input data for future grid developments.

“I also reaffirmed the HE Seyi Makinde led administration’s commitment to the ease of doing business in Oyo State to facilitate investment in the sector.”
