PHOTOS: 94 Nigerians Stranded in Lebanon Repatriated — Sarumi Aliyu

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Diaspora Affairs, Hon Bolanle Sarumi on Wednesday revealed that 94 Nigerian citizens stranded in Lebanon have returned to the country.

The Governor’s aide who was on hand to welcome home the the Nigerian citizens who were stranded in Lebanon for months.

She expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde who has promised to foot the bill to ensure all Oyo State citizens stranded in Lebanon are repatriated back to the state.

Hon Bolanle also thanked the NIDCOM Chairman, Hon Abike Dabiri who ensured that all the ladies return home safely.

Management Agency (NEMA) for providing accommodation for the ladies while NAPTIP will profile them before they start heading to Oyo State.

Nigerian embassy in Lebanon which ensured that the girls were located, documented and secured their travel clearance and certificates.

She thanked thanked the Lebanese government as well as the Lebanese community
