The lgbaro Council of Chiefs in Igbo Elerin at Lagelu local government, on Friday, honoured Hon Olatoye Olajide, popularly called ‘Big Daddy Sugar’ with the Award of Excellence, under the leadership of Onigbaro of Igbaro, Chief Adeyemo Adesunbo Olanrewaju.
While speaking at the event, the awardee, Hon Olatoye appreciated the community for the honour bestowed on him.
Big daddy as he is fondly called by his teeming supporters across all the local government areas that constitute Oyo Central Senatorial District assured them of his support for the development of the community and beyond his place of birth. He however dedicated the award to his late younger brother and grassroots political mobilizer, Hon Olatoye Temitope Sugar.
The event was attended by eminent personalities such as the Executive chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon Kazeem Adeyemi, Vice-chairman, Hon Biodun Badmus, ten out of the fourteen councilors from Lagelu.
Others include young leaders of PDP in Lagelu local government, Hon. Adetokunbo Adeaga, Hon. Festus Alade, OSMF leader in Akinyele local govt, Hon.Adeyemo Mumeen, OSMF women leader in Akinyele local government and OSMF members from Ona Ara, Oluyole and the four local governments in Oyo federal constituency.
