In a pivotal move to revitalize trade and commerce in Ogbomoso South local government, the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon Oyedokun Oyoniyi Timothy, has flagged-off the construction of an ultra modern Kajola Market.
Speaking shortly after moving to the site, Hon Oyedokun stated that the market when completed and commissioned will further boost economic activities of the council.
He lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his timely support which necessitated the construction of the market. OOT as he is fondly called as adjudged to be one of the few performing Executive Chairmen in Oyo State.
“I am thrilled to announce the commencement of construction at the Kajola Market.
“With 120 lock-up shops, 84 open shops, an abattoir, and a cutting-edge administrative block, this initiative aims to redefine our local commerce hub.
“We thank His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde for making this a reality.
“The Kajola Market stands as a testament to my commitment to economic growth and community development.
“As we usher in 2024, let this be a symbol of progress and prosperity for all indigenes and residents.”
