As part of efforts to address and curb what looks like the growing menace of lawlessness on the part of motorists, motorcycle and tricycles riders, the chairman of Oyo State Park Management System PMS, Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa has announced the formation of a taskforce to ensure vehicles are not parked at Unauthorized locations in the capital city, Ibadan.
Tommy made this known on Thursday when he led members of the State Executives of PMS to clear some illegal parking lots in Iwo and it environs.
This, Tommy said this would ease free flow of traffic as festive season approaches and bring sanity to major roads.
“As part of our commitment towards ensuring organized Parks and Proper parkings for ease of traffic flow, we set up a team of Environmental Task Force to ensure Taxis (Micra), Buses,Tricycles (Maruwa) and Motorcyles (Okada) under our jurisdiction follow this mandate and put an end to obstructive parkings that disrupt traffic flow.
“With government’s approval, we cleared some parts of Iwo Road and other areas for cars and buses to be able to park properly while awaiting passengers.
“To this effect, I went round to inspect the approved areas and parks.”
