PROJECT:Akinyele LG Chair Provides Cash Support for ‘CAN’ Leadership

The Caretaker Chairman, Akinyele Local Government, Hon Taoreed Jimoh Adedigba on Thursday made a cash donation to the Christian Association of Nigeria, Akinyele chapter, when the leadership of the religious body paid a courtesy visit to the chairman’s office at Moniya.

Hon Adedigba said the gesture was done to assist CAN with the ongoing developmental project in the council area. The LG Boss said, “I am not a bigot, I don’t discriminate against any religion, people that know me very well will tell you that I have always preached religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence anywhere I am.”

“I assure you that we will give you the needed support to ensure the project is completed on time ”

Receiving the donation from the Hon Taoreed Adedigba by the CAN chairman, Bishop John Oyetunji alongside the secretary, Pastor G.T Oyewole, the duo thanked the chairman for his unusual gesture to the Christian body.

The CAN chairman prayed for the success of Enge Seyi Makinde and Hon Taoreed Adedigba as they seek to take the state to greater height than they met it.

In attendance were the caretaker committee members, the HLGA, and some principal officers of the local government.
It would be recalled that few weeks ago, the Chairman embarked on a developmental project tour at  Moniya central mosque and  promised that he would support all religious bodies in the local government, so he fulfilled his promise by donating the cash to support the ongoing CAN developmental project in the local government.
