Protect Your Children Against Sexual Abuse,Oyo Government Warns Parents,Guardians

Parents and Guardians have been urged to give adequate guidance to their children and wards in order to curb the menace of Adolescent and young peoples sexual abuse  ravaging the society in recent times.

This advise was given today by the Commissioner for women affairs
Alhaja Faosat Sanni during a program organised by the Oyo State
Society for Family Health and Oyo State COVID 19 Task Force Media
Engagement as a tool for the control of adolescent abuse cases in the
State during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Alhaja Sanni also added that ladies and younger women should always ensure they do not walk in the dark as well as not walk
in twos and threes in order to prevent attacks.

Also speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary Oyo State Public
Health Care Board Dr Muyideen Olatunji said the Agency with the support by other partners are making efforts to engage the youths in areas of youth health education and Youth friendly clinics in order to
minimise the sexual abuse in all the 32 Local Governments in the State
